Strat set clips -

I'm very pleased to introduce this clip - I collaborated with Chicago blues guitarist Tim OBrien on this one.  He did a fantastic job demonstrating a CBS set of Rumpelstiltskin pickups.

White Rope set
- This set is based on the white roped Tele pickups that used staggered Alnico 5 bridge pickup magnets and Alnico 5 on the neck pickups.  If you want the bright, very twangy but not thin tone a la Don Rich, this is the set you want.  Here's two clips - the first is played clean, with the deluxe reverb on 5 treb/bass and 3 volume.  The second clip is with the volume on 8.

Clean - Cranked

Under-wound White Rope set - Brass cover on the neck pickup.  Played through a Lil Dawg D-Lux 12 watt amp
in the normal channel input 1, volume maximum.  The guitar volume was about 1/3 the way up to keep it clean.
