“Miller’s Daughter”
Miller's Daughter™ Stratocaster Pickup Set
Inspired by the golden years of the Stratocaster. Refined through years of listening, research, and development.
The Miller's Daughter™ is my interpretation of the Stratocaster pickups that followed the original 1954 "Black Era" pre-CBS designs and helped define the unmistakable voice of the mid 1950s to the early 1960s.
Built around Alnico 5 rod magnets and vintage-correct 42 AWG Formvar insulated wire, the Miller's Daughter™ delivers a more assertive, dynamic, and harmonically rich voice than the earlier Miller's™ set. The lows are firm and articulate, the mids possess a throaty vocal quality, and the highs remain clear, glassy, and expressive without becoming brittle.
This is the sound many players associate with the classic Stratocaster. The unmistakable balance of clarity, authority, and responsiveness that inspired generations of musicians.
Rather than simply reproducing vintage specifications, I spent years studying what made the finest original examples so compelling to play. Every aspect of the Miller's Daughter™ was carefully refined through countless hours of comparison, listening, and development to create a pickup that captures the spirit of those legendary instruments while offering the consistency today's players desire.
The Miller's Daughter™ responds beautifully to the player's touch. Dig in and it gives you punch, growl, and harmonic richness. Back off your attack and it becomes open, articulate, and remarkably expressive. Chords retain exceptional note separation while single notes bloom with the lively character that has made vintage-style Strat pickups so enduringly popular.
Whether you're chasing classic blues, vintage rock, country, soul, surf, or expressive clean tones, the Miller's Daughter™ is designed to deliver the dynamic response, balance, and musicality that have made so many pre-CBS 1950’s and 1960’s Stratocasters the benchmark for generations.
