Policies
Please review the following policies before placing an order. By purchasing, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
1. Sales, Returns & Exchanges
All sales are final.
Because each pickup is built specifically for the customer who orders it, I do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once an order has been placed.
Over the years, I have found that a no-return policy is the only practical way to continue offering hand-built pickups as a one-person operation. Thank you for your understanding.
I strongly recommend professional installation if you are not comfortable performing pickup installation yourself. Pickups damaged during installation are not covered under warranty and may be subject to a repair fee.
Custom Orders
I no longer accept custom pickup orders.
My focus is on refining and producing my standard models, each of which represents years of development and testing. Limiting the product line allows me to maintain consistency and quality while continuing to provide reliable service and support.
Please note: The customer is responsible for all applicable shipping charges.
2. Pickup Polarity & Phase Compatibility
When mixing pickups from different manufacturers, phase compatibility cannot always be predicted.
Because I cannot determine the polarity and winding direction of pickups made by other companies, I cannot guarantee compatibility when my pickups are combined with existing pickups from other brands.
The customer is responsible for verifying compatibility before purchase.
3. Five-Year Warranty
I stand behind my work and warranty all pickups against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five years from the date of purchase.
If a pickup fails due to a manufacturing defect during this period, I will repair it at no charge.
This warranty does not cover:
Improper installation
Accidental damage
Abuse or misuse
Unauthorized modifications or tampering
Damage caused by environmental conditions or neglect
Please note: The customer is responsible for all applicable shipping charges.
4. DC Resistance (Ohm Readings)
DC resistance is often discussed in pickup specifications, but it is only one of many factors that influence a pickup's tone and output.
Magnet type, coil geometry, winding pattern, wire insulation, tension, and numerous other factors all contribute significantly to the final sound of a pickup.
For this reason, pickups are wound to approximate target DC resistance values. Individual readings may vary by up to approximately ±5%.
Minor variation is completely normal and can occur due to factors such as temperature, copper wire characteristics, and the winding process itself. Even fully machine-wound pickups commonly exhibit variation in DC resistance measurements.
Additional Information
Pickup and Cover Fitment
My pickups are designed to fit the vast majority of guitars and aftermarket covers currently available. However, due to differences in manufacturing tolerances between instruments and hardware manufacturers, I cannot guarantee compatibility with every guitar or every pickup and it’s cover.
Turnaround Times
All turnaround times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Each pickup is built to meet my quality standards, and those standards will never be compromised in order to rush an order. While I make every effort to meet estimated delivery times, occasional delays may occur.
