“Rumpel-Bucker”

The Rumpel-Bucker is inspired by the classic PAF tones found in vintage Gibson® guitars. There are many levers to pull in a PAF pickup in comparison to a Fender® pickup. You have cover material and thickness, wire type and size, number of turns, magnet type, magnet finish and size, slug material, pole material, keeper bar material and baseplate material. After years of experimentation, I’ve chosen the combination that I find gives the most compelling experience to the player in terms of tone as well as feel. Authority, mid-range fullness, clarity and sensitivity are the hallmarks of my design.
